My little place on the 'net

Welcome to my humble home on the Internet! It’s not much, but it should give you a peek into my life and writings.

Here are some things you can expect to see from me:

  • short stories, some which might even be decent.
  • my rambling thoughts on fiction, reading, and literature. Be warned: I love books too much for my own good.
  • my accounts on the realities of growing up deaf, losing my sight in my 20s and 30s, and being deafblind. It’s not as bad as you’d think.
  • any random interests I might have at any given moment. My current obsession is plane crashes. Yes, I’m a bit macabre at times.

To get a sense of what things I write about, here is a list of my most popular syndicated articles:

“What It’s Like to Be the Only Deaf Person in a Hearing Family” - The Huffingon Post

“What’s It Like for a Deaf Person to Hear for the First Time” - Slate

“What It’s Like to Go Blind” - Vox

“In a World of Sensory Overload, Can We Become Better Thinkers?” - The Observer

That’s it for now. Stay tuned.
